Volunteer Applications for Gaytimes 2019 are now open. We are once again partnering with the legends at Vollyspot.

Volunteers are expected to work one or two shifts in exchange for a free ticket.

If you can’t afford a ticket and you want to help the festival come together and make new friends, volunteering is a great option.

We are looking for volunteers to do the following:

Bar staff and baristas to work in our Priscilla’s Bar (RSA or coffee making experience required)
Canteen staff to make breakfast
Gate and parking attendants for when people arrive
Rovers to keep the festival site pristine and keep an eye on the party
Info desk attendees
Bump in or bump out helpers (experience required)
The Channel’s Party Safety Ambassadors

Ever dreamed of performing on a stage at sunset on a mountaintop in a magical gay paradise?

This is your chance.

We’re calling for expressions of interest from a wide range of musicians, performers and visual artists.

Gaytimes prides itself on curating an eclectic lineup of musicians, bands and djs from across a spectrum of genres ranging from synth pop to hip hop, garage rock to house.

We have an emphasis on supporting emerging Australian (and especially Victorian) queer and gender diverse artists and providing those LGBTIQ musicians with a platform to perform.

Over the past three years, our lineups have featured complete unknowns right through to seasoned performers, and rising stars on Triple J.

We are also calling for expressions of interest from performance artists, visual artists and anyone with an idea for a workshop or activity.

Applications are now open for any of the following:

Live music: Whether you are making music in your bedroom or you are a band who are already touring, we’re interested in hearing from you.

  • Djs: Are you a spinner who wants to get on our decks at Nighttimes? We look for djs from a range of genres from disco to house to techno.

  • Performance artists: We look for everything from circus performers to alt drag kings and queens.

  • Visual artists: We are looking for visual artists who can bring or make installations for our site.

  • Activities: Have an idea for a talk, workshop, class or activity you’d like to host or facilitate? We put on everything from yoga to life drawing to sex workshops.

We will be calling for applications from volunteers, sponsors, food trucks and market vendors later this year, so stay tuned.

(We also book and tour international acts, so if you are a touring agent, booking agent or manager looking after an artist that you belongs on our bill, get in touch with our booker
